The best you could do to optimize stuff is limit the use of think hooks, while and for loops, and make stuff as minimalist as possible to get the same job done. Most peoples pcs back then only had 1-2 cores anyways. But it would be cool if pac can work well without killing your frames but gmod is pretty limiting because its a 10+ year old game. That's a limitation of source engine though. Trust me ive been running gmod servers for like 5 years. Networking runs on a separate thread though. It also runs on the same thread as physics. Run while true do end it freezes your game and pins a single core at 100%. I know for sure the lua is not multi threaded. A custom branch based on a three year old version of it, the current workshop version, and the current developer branch version with the exact same results. Note that this was also tested in three differing versions of PAC. It's distressing because even simple outfits have a nasty FPS impact that doesn't exist in 32-bit.

I'll do further testing on other machines I have. My CPU is a Ryzen 5 3400g which I know isn't super great, but I'm certain this impacts everyone regardless of hardware. I'm not sure if this is something fixable, but this is very concerning since 64-bit will (EVENTUALLY.) be the main branch.
